Sayuri Nishikubo

Sayuri Nishikubo was born in 1988 in Japan. While working at a university hospital, she taught herself graphic and illustration, designed logos and packages, and began creating black-and-white paintings using acrylics in the 2020s. In recent years, her style is characterized by using classical paintings and familiar materials in black and white and text.

1988年、日本生まれ。イラストレーション・グラフィックデザインを独学で身につける。モノクロで描いたドローイングが徐々に注目を集め、雑誌や広告、アパレル等への作品提供、パッケージデザインなどを行う。 2020年頃より、アクリルガッシュを用いたペインティング作品を制作し、国内外での展示を行う。そのスタイルはモノクロによるポートレイト、タイポグラフィー、抽象画を横断し多様に表現される。
